Block board or plywood: which should I use?
Block boards are a good choice for doors, long shelves and large furniture panels, where their solid batten core resists bending and holds screws well. Plywood is better for kitchens and other damp areas, and where you need thinner sheets or exposed edges.
Can block boards be used in kitchens or bathrooms?
Our block boards are MR grade, made for dry interiors and normal indoor humidity. For kitchens, bathrooms and other wet areas, choose BWR or BWP plywood instead.
Are your block boards termite proof?
Every board is chemically treated to resist termites and borers.
Are your block boards BIS certified?
Yes. They are certified to IS 1659 (BIS licence CM/L 9300153813), and our in-house specifications go beyond the standard.
