Shuttering plywood for monsoon-season building
Pune’s construction continues through a long, wet monsoon, and formwork that soaks up water swells, loses its face and gets thrown away early. Our IS 4990 shuttering plywood is full-core hardwood bonded with phenol formaldehyde (PF) resin. It passes a 72-hour boiling water test and gives up to 15 repetitions.
| Weight | Best for |
|---|---|
| 50 kg | High-rise slabs, heavy loads, the most repetitions |
| 34 kg | Standard residential and commercial slabs |
| 30 kg | Smaller projects with fewer pours |
| 25 kg | Light, short-term formwork |
It is certified under BIS licence CM/L 9300154310. Choose Bhoomi for maximum repetitions or Mason Ply for heavy-duty work.
Getting the most repetitions in wet weather
Repetitions depend as much on handling as on the sheet. On Pune sites through the monsoon:
- Apply a release agent before every pour.
- Clean the face as soon as the sheets are struck.
- Seal every cut edge, since water enters through edges first.
- Store sheets flat, off the ground and under cover.
Our care guide covers each step in detail.
BWP plywood for Pune interiors
For kitchens, bathrooms and balcony storage that take monsoon humidity, use Green Bhoomi BWP plywood, whose bond passes a 72-hour boiling water test. For dry interiors, our IS 303 commercial plywood comes in MR and BWR grades from 6 mm to 25 mm, made with urea-free bio resin. We also supply block boards and flush doors.
